Happy 4th of July!

so yesterday I began to write a blog but then my computer shut off and i haven't had time to continue writing. and i don't have much time right now because i have a date with this guy name jaimen who is from boise and we are going to idaho falls to watch the fireworks! he's pretty cool. we met in the drumline. he's a snare player. ha...me and drummers... we marched in the parade today and it was really fun but also VERY hot! i was sweating like a pig and i am so sore right now because tenors are the heaviest drums and they weigh about 50 pounds! but i loved it! well i gotta get ready! have a good day! love you all!

long day...

so last night was okay. we made popcorn which turned out really good. we put a surgary/maple syrup/butter mixture on it that was yummy. we ended up watching part of terminal but couldn't finish it because of curfew. the fort was alright. but i don't think any fort will ever beat the ones that we used to make in the game room when we were kids. those were awesome! as far as liking this guy... im not too into him... when he dropped me off last night i gave him a hug but it wasn't because i wanted to hug him. my roommate was in the lounge so he stopped by to say hi to her and told her that i'm awesome. so i think he likes me more than i like him. oops...why does this always happen?? i'm never going to get married! ha today i work from 11-3 and then 5 to close which wil be about midnight.... long day! but it will be worth it. i went from only working two hours this week to about twenty! i'm looking forward to pay day. :) today is so sunny! this is the best weather
Today was a really good day! I had a lesson with Bro. Taylor on timpani technique because I've been a slacker when it comes to me practicing timpani. I just want to practice set and marimba. And I told him that I'm not motivated to play timpani and he said, 'well i guess i need to push you harder' i'm so glad he said that because thats exactly what i need! i think he's finally realizing how i learn things! i need to be pushed and given a lot of things to work on at once. not just one thing. so we had a 45 min lesson and i practiced from 12 to 5. but during those five hours i also practiced marimba, set and tenors. at 5pm bro taylor came back to see me and i showed him what i worked on timpani. and he was happy with what he saw! so thats good. now instead of just working with the right hand i can practice the left hand too. yayayayayay! so tonight i have a date with spencer. its not really a date but we're making cake and popcorn and then making a fort and wa

back pains??

One more thing I forgot to mention in my last post. This past week I have been getting really sharp pains in my lower back. It happens at the most random times. A few times it's happened when I stand up. It hurts really bad. I feel like the girl in the movie Charly when she starts getting pains but I know its not that. I'm going to give it about another week but if it keeps happening I may want to go to a doctor and get it checked out. Good night

Fine, I'll blog... :)

Ok, so I'm really going to try to keep up with this blogging thing. I just need to get myself to do it. I think i have a hard time writing down things like I would in a journal but knowing that other people will be reading it when I post it. So, where should I start? I really hope that the only people that are reading this will be my family. Am I right emily??? Today, I had my drum set lesson with Jay Lawrence, who I just found out today, won first place at a drum festival in Las Vegas or something like that. He's really good! And I'm sure he's getting to be well known in the drummer world. And who took lessons from him??? ME! He'll probably be here in the fall too to teach. As long as he's teaching, I will be taking lessons from him. I've learned so much more this summer than I did in two semesters with other teachers. And... he's says I have talent. lol. It's good to get a compliment from him. :) I performed my first two solos on a marimba at a re
